Elementary School

My passion for art was truly born at Pierce Elementary School in Birmingham, Michigan. Walking into that art room always left me feeling deeply inspired like my imagination had suddenly been switched on. I still remember the excitement of creating my own version of Van Gogh’s Starry Night with soft pastels and swirling, pointillism-style marks. When my teacher selected it for the school exhibit, the pride and encouragement I felt were unforgettable. I threw myself into every project—building wild, imaginative dioramas and designing colorful poster boards—each one sparking new ideas and making me believe I could bring anything in my head to life. Those early experiences at Pierce didn’t just spark my interest in art; they filled me with a powerful, lasting sense of creative inspiration.
